Description
Our fishing Lodge is located on the Cobham River, it is here that we offer you some of the best fishing opportunities to land trophy Northern Pike and trophy Walleye in all of Canada. While you’re with us at the Cobham we like to call you “The Cobham Family” because you will look back on this fishing trip, not only for the fishing but our hospitality and one-on-one treatment of you and your group. 90% of our guests each year, have been rebooking their yearly fishing trips with us for 20+ years. We have 10’s of thousands of acres of fishing area that is privately owned and reserved for you and your group. That means you won’t see another boat! We offer fishing opportunities in Manitoba’s Canadian wilderness where you and your group have an unmatched opportunity to fish where no other fisherman has fished. The result, the fishing trip of a lifetime.

Cobham River Lodge boasts of hundreds of miles of shoreline packed with Walleye, along with 76,000 acres of trophy Northern Pike havens. We are the original and only outfitter to have developed this system into a world class fishing lodge. Our guests enjoy Manitoba fishing for 134 cm (53+ inch) monster Northern Pike in one of the hundreds of cabbage weed filled beds that the Cobham River has to offer. What’s amazing to see is that while you’re searching these cabbage weed beds for your trophy pike, it’s not uncommon to hook into a 80 cm (32 inch) trophy Walleye in the same weed bed.

Full Service Canadian Fishing Lodge

Our secluded fly-in fishing lodge is located on a ¼ mile beach 50 yards into the Canadian forest of Manitoba.  All guest rooms have both inside and outside access making it easy to head out fishing each morning.  Your Manitoba fly-in fishing experience begins each morning with breakfast where prepare your day of hunting trophy Northern Pike and trophy Walleye fishing.

After filling up on breakfast, your Manitoba fly-in fishing experience begins as you make your way through the Canadian wilderness to the beach to find your 16′ wide-body Lund boat installed with swivel seats with back rests, landing nets, stringers and boat cushions.  Your boat is also equipped with a 15HP Yamaha 4-stroke outboard tied to the dock awaiting your arrival.  With your ice-downed beverage cooler already stowed and outboard warmed up you are ready to hunt down those trophy Northern Pike and Walleye.

Shore lunch on the Cobham is done to maximize your time on the water, unlike at other fishing lodges where you lose an hour or more of precious fishing time waiting for shore lunch to be prepared. Here, we begin your full service Canadian shore lunch while you fish.  At 11 am each day we prepare your delicious fresh Walleye shore lunch on our custom woks over an open fire so it is timed for your noon arrival.

Upon your return to the lodge after a full day of Canada fishing, you will be greeted at the dock by our helpful staff who will assist you with your fishing gear.  Guests use this time to relax on our Canadian handmade furniture made of native pine while watching their favorite baseball or NFL pre-season game on our flat screen TV with 300+ channels.  Some guests use this time to catch up back home with our free, high-speed internet and phone service.

Dinner is served at 7 pm. Meals at the Lodge, what can I say! Our departing guests say it best, “I am not eating for a week when I get home”, and “I must have gained 10 pounds.” The menu at the lodge consists of a soup and salad bar, with main entrees including ham, pork roasts, beef roasts, steak, turkey, ribs and many original recipes. Don’t forget the desserts, homemade bread, pies, and other selections.

After dinner the guests gather around the large native rock fireplace, or venture onto the large screened in deck and talk about the big one that got away or (hopefully) the one they landed, play cards, or resume watching their favorite team on satellite TV.  For that avid fisherman who still wants more Canadian fishing your boat is waiting, just be back before the Northern Lights!

Canadian Fly-in Outpost

Our Canadian fly-in outpost on Hidden Lake offers you a trophy fishing experience in the secluded wilderness of Manitoba Canada on your very own private lake. Here you can chase trophy Northern Pike and trophy Walleye all week long without any interruptions and not another fishing boat on the lake other than your groups. You will feel “Hidden” from the rest of the world as you get to concentrate on the important stuff, relaxation and fishing.

This Canadian outpost’s fishing can best be described with one word – action. It is common for two people fishing at Hidden Lake Outpost to catch and release over 100 fish a day, with the record being 223 Walleye and Northern Pike caught in a single day.

Hidden Lake Outpost is situated on a 6,400 acre lake, with a chain of islands down the center. Hidden Lake’s shape and islands make fishing on windy days easy to deal with because there are always fishing spots or shorelines out of the wind. While fishing Hidden Lake you will also have access to three other lakes – Elliot Lake, Thunder Lake and Blue Walleye Lake. Each lake offers premier trophy fishing with unique fishing opportunities within each lake.
